IC-ENC is delighted to welcome Chile to its growing list of member nations. As the first country in South America to join IC-ENC, this is an important step forward in the delivery of a comprehensive database of quality ENCs within a range of professional and widely available integrated ENC services.
The Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the Chilean Navy (SHOA) has already produced over 160 ENCs providing detailed coverage of the Chilean coastline. IC-ENC will therefore start quality assuring these ENCs and releasing them through its appointed re-sellers in batches over the coming months.
