C-MAP Norway (www.c-map.no) is well known for offering a variety of privately produced vector electronic charts suited to different sectors of the maritime market. This includes a database of charts which are provided in C-Map's own proprietary SENC format known as CM-93/3.
Following this appointment C-MAP Norway will offer the ENCs from IC-ENC and other suppliers like Primar Stavanger in this CM-93/3 SENC format. Customers using the C-MAP Official ENC Service will therefore be able to choose from a wide range of official ENCs, and supplement these with private data for areas where ENCs are not currently available - all provided in the same easy to use SENC format.
Commenting on this development, Tor A. Svanes (C-MAP Norway's President & CEO) stated "We are very proud of this latest achievement which is further confirmation of C-MAP's ability to provide ship owners and navigators with a digital chart service of the highest quality. We can now offer our customers an ENC service with extensive coverage and which is in full compliance with regulations from both the IHO and IMO."
