In response to market feedback about the lack of knowledge of ENC coverage, IC-ENC maintains an online graphical catalogue of ENC coverage world-wide. It is designed to show anyone interested in investing in ECDIS / ENCs the extent of the coverage world-wide, and provide details of where the ENC data can be purchased from. It contains a number of interactive tools to aid the selection and interrogation of specific ENCs.
The catalogue currently lists over 6,700 ENCs from 45 countries, over 5,000 of which are available for sale. The catalogue was recently upgraded to include scale and actual data coverage information. This resulted in two separate catalogues, a "Simple" version showing all ENCs (i.e. both available and still in production) by cell limit only; and an "Advanced" version showing just the available ENCs with full data coverage information for over 3,500 of these cells.
In order to present the information more clearly, these two versions have now been combined to make one simple to use catalogue where you can interrogate each of the different layers of information independently. For the first time, it is now possible to view the best available information for all 6,700 ENCs in one place.
