IC-ENC is delighted to announce that the Hydrographic Department of the Pakistan Navy is the latest to become a full member of the growing number of nations that together form the International Centre for ENCs.
The highly regarded Hydrographic Department is responsible for surveying Pakistani waters and maintaining a series of 16 paper charts covering the Pakistani coastline. It has recently embarked on its ENC production programme.
The first three ENCs covering the Karachi and Muhammad Bin Qasim ports and approaches, based on Pakistani charts 40 (1:12:500), 58 (1:75,000) and 59 (1:30,000), are currently in production and will be released soon. Further ENCs are then expected throughout 2006. |
