Dates and timeframe: The secondment will take place across 2 weeks from Monday 4 May - Friday 15 May 2026
Purpose of secondment:
Development of understanding on how to process and structure sources (e.g. nautical information, bathymetric surveys, wrack information) to make them suitable for further S-1XX compliant product development
Establishing S-1XX data production methods
Visualisation
Desired outcomes / benefits: Capability to initiate production of S-1XX datasets
Structure: The secondee will sit within the The Nautical Information Service
Secondee requirements:
Nautical, cartographic or IT background is necessary
Knowledge of several S-100 based Product Specification for would be beneficial
Preferably (comprehensive) knowledge of the S-1XX data structure
Beneficial if test data of the secondee’s national area are available in English language and in digital format
Pre-work: An MS Teams call will be arranged with the successful secondee before planning begins.
Follow up work: The secondee is to provide a journal/article to IC-ENC sharing their experience. Secondee to share their learnings at IC-ENC Technical Conference or Steering Committee (if appropriate). Any relevant information to be shared with Members via the IC-ENC LMS.
