ESRI Production and S-101 Transition

Dates and timeframe:
The secondment will take place across 2 weeks from Monday 1 June - Friday 12 June 2026

Purpose of secondment:

  • Knowledge and expertise transfer

  • Secondee will gain familiarity with the ESRI production system as they transition to S-101 and S-57 dual fuel production

Desired outcomes / benefits:

  • To build professional networks across HOs

  • To enhance understanding and collaboration between different members of IC-ENCs

Structure:

  • The secondees to work across all of the Office of Coast Survey

  • Potential to work on survey vessels

Secondee requirements:

  • Understanding of ENCs and basic Hydrography

  • It would be helpful for the secondee to bring their own ENCs, but this is not required

  • Comfortable spending a full day onboard a vessel

Pre-work: One online advisory meeting (1 hour, one week before the secondment)

Follow up work:

  • Secondee to provide a journal/article to IC-ENC sharing their experience. Secondee to share their learnings at IC-ENC Technical Conference or Steering Committee (if appropriate). Any relevant information to be shared with Members via the IC-ENC LMS
