IC-ENC Retire Moebius Tool
IC-ENC is pleased to announce the retirement of the legacy Moebius exchange set and cell key management software. This decision marks a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to delivering modern, efficient, and fully supported solutions for Members.
Over recent years, IC-ENC has invested in developing a comprehensive in-house capability for managing exchange sets and cell keys. This new solution not only replaces Moebius but also introduces several key advantages.

Why Retire Moebius?
Moebius served its purpose well, leveraging as it did the unique organisation-hosting from UKHO and therefore access to UKHO’s Moebius software. But, with UKHO moving away to new capabilities that didn’t support IC-ENC’s needs, Moebius, as an unsupported legacy tool presented challenges in maintenance, compatibility, and scalability. Continuing to rely on outdated software limits innovation and increases operational risk for IC-ENC.
