Dates and timeframe: The secondment will take place across 2 weeks from Tuesday 2 June - Thursday 11 June 2026
Purpose of secondment:
Development of understanding on how to structure nautical information to make it suitable for further product development, prototyping S-125 and S-128 datasets
Desired outcomes / benefits: Capability to initiate production of S-12X datasets
Structure: The secondee will sit within the The Nautical Editorial Section
Secondee requirements:
Nautical background and knowledge of S-100 Product Specification for nautical publications would be beneficial
Basic programming skills are appreciated but not a must
Pre-work:
An MS Teams call will be arranged with the successful secondee before planning begins
It would be beneficial if the nautical information (test data of the secondee’s national area) is available in English language and in digital format
Preferably (comprehensive) knowledge of the S-12X data structure
Follow up work: The secondee is to provide a journal/article to IC-ENC sharing their experience. Secondee to share their learnings at IC-ENC Technical Conference or Steering Committee (if appropriate). Any relevant information to be shared with Members via the IC-ENC LMS.
